In the competency-based view of teacher-education in teaching theory, a teacher is defined as a good teacher when able to satisfy all needed competencies.

Competencies in The Netherlands

In The Netherlands, seven competencies are defined each teacher must be compentent in. This can be self-scored by using QuickScan.
